Premier League Cup Draw........final repeat!!!

Premier League Cup Draw........final repeat!!!

The 1st round and quarter final draw of the Premier League Cup was made at Hampden Park on Saturday by national coach Anna Signeul.

The second tie that she drew from the hat was Glasgow City v Hibernian, a repeat of last year's final which City won 3-1.

Coach, Willie Kirk commented "obviously it's not the tie that you would have chosen, but we will use it as a gauge to see how far we have come from last season.  There is without doubt, a huge gap just now between Glasgow City and the rest of the league.  They have set a very high standard and it is upto the chasing clubs to get as close as possible to that standard and the level of performance that City guarantee you.

It is a cracking game to start the season with, and a good performance would give us something to build on for the rest of the season.  Unfortunately, the timing of the game is not ideal and we may be missing upto 5 players through various circumstances.  Still, the eleven who start the game will need no added motivation they will have an early chance to stake a claim for a regular starting place."

The rest of the draw is:

FIRST ROUND

Hamilton v Forfar
Glasgow City v Hibernian
Dundee United v Spartans
Boroughmuir v Celtic

QUARTER FINALS

Dundee United /Spartans v Rangers
Kilmarnock v Aberdeen
Inverness v Hamilton/Forfar
Boroughmuir/Celtic v Glasgow City/Hibernian
