McWhinnie Signs.......eventually!

Hibernian Ladies are delighted to announce the signing of Debbie McWhinnie.

The ex-Spartans forward finally put pen to paper after coach Willie Kirk spent months chasing her signature.

Willie Kirk stated: "Debbie is a terrific signing for us. She can play anywhere along the front line and gives us something that is hard to find! She has that special quality of being able to win you a game with one piece of magic and not many players can claim to give you that! I spoke to her just before we broke for our Xmas break and we agreed that she would do pre-season with us and take things from there.

Right from the start, she was the one player that I desparately wanted to add to the squad. For the past few weeks, her application and desire in pre-season has been a joy to watch, she has been enjoying herself and has fantastic technical ability.

She tells me that she still needs to work on her sharpness, so I can't wait to see even further improvement in her game. Debbie is the type of player that we needed to add to our squad if we are to try and close the gap between us and the teams that finished above us this season and i'm delighted with the squad we now have in place.

Ashley Watson will sign on her return from holiday this weekend and that will be us finished. Myself, Yorkie, Dan and the players, are all looking forward to the start of the season.
