New 'A' Squad Coach

New 'A' Squad Coach

Ladies 'A' head coach Willie Kirk is delighted to announce the appointment of Dave Holdsworth to his coaching staff.

The Englishman, nicknamed 'Yorkie' has a wealth of experience in both female and male sides of the game and has worked at every level from boys/girls club through amateur and to semi-professional. His previous clubs include Celtic, Motherwell, Leeds United, and Coventry City.

The club can also confirm that Goalkeeper Coach Dan Palowski will continue his work for the 2010 season.

Kirk added "the appointment of Yorkie and the continued work of Dan is very important to the development of the club. We have ambitious, short and long term targets in place and both will be instrumental if we are to achieve them. Yorkie's main strength is on the coaching field, and within the first hour of his first training session, you could see a positive response from the girls. Dan has played a huge part already in Shannon's development and will continue to do so. He will also co-ordinate all the goalkeeping activity at the club and ensure their is a shared vision amongst them.
